We've done threads on favorite movies including things like B movies, guilty pleasures and sci fi flicks. What about a thread on your favorite movie moment. That scene or sequence in a movie that you never get tired of watching.

Here's mine. Big Trouble in Little China. One of my favorite films but my favorite scene is Jack's macho little speech in front of Thunder and Lo Pan. The only problem with his little speech being that Jack just finished kissing Gracy Law and he's not as macho looking as he thinks.

In memorium. Bob Hoover died 25 Oct 2016 at 94. In WWII he was shot down in a Spitfire and stole an FW-190 to escape. He spent decades at air shows flying Ole Yeller, shown

My three favorite films - Miller's Crossing, Glengarry Glen Ross, Mullholland Dr - are full of favorite scenes. Here's one of them (which works best when you see it for the first time in the middle of the movie):

Jamie Lee Curtis, in Trading Places. After she gets Dan Ackroyd back to her apartment and starts changing her clothes.
That was movie magic for a younger me.

But in all seriousness, probably this:

For the first time in 108 years, the Cubs are world champions! Incredible game 7 victory over a valiant Cleveland team.

Two come to mind.

Spoiler (click to reveal)
The first is the climatic scene in The Sixth Sense, when Crowe's wife Anna drops his wedding ring, immediately followed in rapid-fire fashion by all the instances in the film in which no one could see him, but he didn't realize it. The reveal that he was dead for the entire movie was a complete surprise to me and a huge punch in the gut to me when I first saw it. Great surprise ending, brilliantly executed.

The other one is silly and highly manipulative, but I still love it. It's at the end of Breakfast at Tiffany's, in which George Peppard and Audrey Hepburn go looking for their cat "Cat", which Hepburn (as Holly Golightly) pushed out of the cab in the rain. You realize that their continued relationship depends on their finding that stupid cat. Then, just when you fear the puss is lost forever, you hear a plaintive meow and he is revealed, soaked to the skin, behind a bunch of boxes. The soundtrack bursts into a rendition of Moon River, with the strings soaring, and Hepburn and Peppard huddle together with Cat, free to love again. I swear to God, I cry like a baby every time I see that scene. I'm getting teary-eyed now just thinking about it. Great filmmaking.

Well I guess I can cross this one off my "to-watch" list. There's a reason there's spoiler tags on here.

Any of the Rocky movies where he overcomes the personal struggle within himself and finds the strength to face the coming fight head on. The music kicks in, the training montage begins... I know it's cliche' but it get me every time.

I'm so sorry, Bryan. I just figured, the movie is almost 20 years old and anyone who wanted to see it had done so already. I know I really hate it when someone spoils the ending of a movie for me, so I feel bad I've done it for you. My apologies.
