In our first game with VV, one of the players was using Glamr as Captain and others complained that it was too easy for her to summon extra undead Warriors using Hammer rolls. With their static abilities, the undead warriors add 1 sword and 1 shield, but if they are then sacrificed, they add extra swords and another shield! And they can then be summmoned again with another Hammer roll, while other players lose their warriors for good when sacrificed. We checked the text but there seems to be no limitation to this reviving power to use additional, expendable warriors and their swords in combat.

He can summon and sacrifice a Dragr in the same battle, but that isn't any better than most other heroes. For instance, the Dragr Grunt if summoned and sacrificed in the same battle gives him 3 swords - which isn't any more powerful than other characters who get 3 swords for their red die.

He's powerful for sure, especially early game, but his power comes entirely from his crew. If he has a full crew (3 warriors) he no longer benefits from his hammer abilities or his static ability. So yeah, he's powerful early on but he's not a great momentum character.

Or that was his intent, anyway.

Thank you for your quick answer, Jeremy! I agree that Glamr may be more powerful at the beginning but then other Captains may find better Warriors for their crew. We'll see how well Glamr does in our next games.
