Thanks for this! I'm thinking of using this game in a middle school classroom, and wanted to use this year's battleground states since they're so unusual.

What site(s) did you use for your data, so I can update, if necessary?

I just looked at the poll data on fivethirtyeight.com on the date I posted this.

I've posted a file with an updated & expanded board for the 2016 US presidential election.

I designed it to use in my kid's middle school classroom, so the board is larger than the original, and has a US map to make the board a little more geographic. It's also set up to make the two-player (or team) game clearer.

Thanks to craigtyle for assembling the original data which gave me the idea to make this, and of course Raiderjakk for the great game design!

Welcome!

It's been such a horrible election season. I considered adding a module to the game to capture some of the feel but I backed off. I really don't know how I'd model it.

Maybe once a certain EV threshold is reached, the players can start picking up markers & either hiding them from or throwing them at their opponent. Then, right before election day, the players can grab the board and start tearing and crumpling and stomping on it.
