We are playing Chain of Command. The rules just say that the door Weiss starts behind is Locked to Rebel figures and they need 2 wrench to get open.

-Can the Imperial open the door, removing it from the board?
-Can the Imperial pass though it as if its not there?
-Or is Weiss stuck in there until the rebels open?

So far the Imperial has been walking in and out of it at will and that seems too good.

I really dislike the Door rules in the game. They are rarely clear and change most scenarios.

Any figure that can interact can interact with a door to remove it from the board unless the mission rules say otherwise. So to answer your question, Imperial figures can interact with the doors to remove them but rebel figures cannot.

Thanks. I probably should have known that but the problem is Im in my 3rd campaign and have always been a rebel. Ive never gotten to actually look at the campaign book so Im at the mercy of the bad rule comprehension skills of the Empire players.

The door rules are in the rulebook and the FAQ, and the second page of the campaign book can be read by anyone, there is nothing secret before page 4.

Unless the mission rules state otherwise, figures cannot move through doors, the door needs to be opened first (with an interact action). If a door is locked, the mission rules say who can open it and how.

There are missions where the imperial figures and other missions where the rebel figures can move (and attack) through doors, but Chain of Command is not one of them.

Also note that only adjacent figures can interact with a door, and the only spaces adjacent to the door are the two spaces on either side of the door which share an edge with the door.

If you're the IP or have played Chain of Command already, see one example of play: PBF SWIA010: Chain of Command.
