I know that work is underway on the France 1940 expansion but was hoping someone (Jim? ) had an update on the desert module.

Will it use the standard-sized geomorphic boards or 22x34 map sheets in order to provide for longer ranges?

Out of curiosity, will it be called "88" like the Yaquinto version, or something else?

thanks,
-Nadir

If there's still an opportunity to weigh in with advice, I would say that at least one 22" x 24" map sheet is needed, because desert engagements were qualitatively different from others in that visual range (and therefore engagement range) exceeded weapon range.

And I would also weigh in that it ought to be called "88," though I don't think there's any doubt about that.

I have no idea on the status of the desert module, other than I'm sure it's one of the things ongoing on the designer's plate, but I think they'll keep to the theme with the title, and call it "Panzer: xxxx" like the others. Perhaps they can incorporate 88 somehow into the title.

I didn't play the original '88'...I hope the updated version is able to depict scenarios in Tunisia. I'd love to see a map or two just with that style of terrain.
