We love the original codenames so I was interested in his but I read in multiple posts that some of the words aren't as good as the ones in the original and that the tiles and components are also not as good. Any input? Is it worth the buy?

I don't own it yet, but from what I read, the concerns over words not being as good was the minority. There were a lot of good points reinforcing that although some words may be a little more limited, there is still plenty of flexibility and it all depends on the spymaster.

As a big codenames fan, I have allready ordered it.

If you find some words too hard, just don't play with them.

Thanks I'll definitely go and give it a try for $20. It's cool that some of the words that aren't as "R" rated can be mixed with the original or it can all get mixed in. Either way if the group isn't offended easily it's more of the same and I'm ok with that. Plus having harder words to link isn't really a bad thing. It just makes you need to think a little more or be more creative.

If you feel what Codenames was missing was a "prostate" card, this is a must buy.

Check out Clockwork Wars. It's a pretty darn good dudes on a hex map Euro'ish steampunk game. Quick and fun.

Meh. I got it because, well, you know, because it was there.

The components seem just as good to me. I like the different art for the bystanders. The words are slightly embarrassing PG-13. The idea sounded better in theory than in execution. I'm not sure how much I'll be playing with this one. Probably better for the college age set. (Am I typecasting?).

This is all without actually playing. I may love the game in practice.

I just played 5 games of it last night and we loved it.
It was just as solid as normal Codenames in every way.
The only difference was it added some extra laughs when we said things like...
"I'm touching Grandma"

I find that in play, this is a worthwhile buy. The majority of the cards are naughty only when taken in that context.
A small percentage are blatantly adult themed so I see no issues in mixing the games together.

If you know you will be playing with people who don't want to see cards like Queef or Semen, then set up the board before they sit at the table and remove those cards.

Very happy I bought this.

One of our players touched grandma too! Turns out that some clues are related depending on the person. Some people would not relate certain words to others (mainly because they haven't watched enough porn).

I don't use the included cover up cards, it's easier, more fun, and less-busy-to-look-at to use the solid color poker chips we use (blue, red, yellow, and one black).
