If a geek trade is finalised, does the collection of each user get updated.

ie are the game/s you get automatically ADDED to your collection? And
The the game/s you traded away marked as PERVIOUSLY OWNED?

(By the way, does marketplace sales do the same?

Thanks

Nope, everything has to be done manually.

Nope. I get trade requests for stuff I've traded or sold all the time.

As noted, all changes to your collection lists have to be done manually, and that applies to all of your lists -- trade, wish, preorder, etc.

But I'm stepping in for a moment to tell what I do, as an avid trader, and maybe someone will find something useful in this.

When I make a trade, I do two things immediately to keep all of my lists up to date. The first thing is to change the status of the outbound game; I either remove the trade flag if I was simply trading an extra copy, or remove the game from my collection entirely if that was the only copy (a LOT of folks use the "Previously Owned" flag for this, but I personally find it of no interest or practical purpose to know what games anyone used to own, so I use that category for something else). Then I change the status flag of the inbound game from "Want in Trade" to "Preordered" until it actually arrives and is in my house. Taking both of these little steps keeps my collection lists in some semblance of order, and especially both my inbound and outbound trade lists so that I can keep browsing periodically in the Trade Manager without seeing a lot of invalid trade matches gumming up the works.

cool
