Yanks is nothing if not a monster. 41 Scenarios. Of those, 25 can be played just with Yanks, Beyond Valor (3rd Ed), and the ASL Rulebook (2nd Ed), which are assumed prerequisites for all scenarios.

Here's the breakdown:

FKaC= For King and Country
HL= Hollow Legions
CdG= Croix de Guerre
DB= Doomed Battalions (3rd Ed)
RS= Rising Sun
AP3= Action Pack 3: Few Returned

*= Provides Board(s). For those wanting to buy individual boards, Yanks uses boards 6, 7, 10, 11, 12, 33, 35, 39, 42, and 43. Boards included in Beyond Valor (3rd Ed) and Yanks itself have been omitted from this list.
**= Provides Counters
***= Provides Overlay
#= Provides Chapter H

26 scenarios is a lot of playtime while waiting for reprints or the overlay bundle.

You're very welcome! Unfortunately, I made a mistake: There are not 26 playable scenarios, there are only 25. It has been corrected in the main list.

Interestingly, if you had The Rulebook, Beyond Valor, the board bundle, and the (yet to be published) overlay bundle, you could play all of the scenarios except two. Gavin's Gamble requires three British tanks (for those of you who have the original scenario, yes, really! It's been revised to the point of being a whole new animal), and The Niscemi- Biscari Highway needs a pair of Italian 47mm AT guns.

When Yanks was originally printed, only Germans and Russians had been printed. Not much action between Americans and Russians, so....

Looks like they maintained the philosophy when selecting new scenarios. Yanks is module #2, so make everything playable with Beyond Valour only.

I think it would be a bad idea to have many scenarios against italians or the japanese in Yanks (or For King and Country), if that's what you mean. If we take it as a given that the first module is Beyond Valor and it gives you germans and russians, it is reasonable to build on that, and there are probably more ASL-players in the world who want play americans or the british against germans, than there are people who want to play italians against russians. The way it is, you can play everything (I think) in BV without anything else, and you can play most scenarios in FKaC and Yanks if you have those two in addition to BV (you need a few maps from Doomed Batallions, and maybe overlays in some scenarios). With those three, you can play any other module, because most fights will involve the russians, germans, americans or the british (except for japanese vs chinese). The way it is, the module dependencies are not too messy.

I can understand that. However, given that the module offers 41 scenarios (!) and some dependencies, it would have been interesting to have a bit of variety: maybe a couple of them vs. the Italians in Sicily, one vs. Vichy French in NA, and maybe a what if (I know that the concept causes conniptions to a lot of ASL players, but there are good medications against that ) vs. Russians.

The above (and notice how I mentioned 4 scenarios out of 41 - less than 10%) could have given a bit of variety to Yanks. Right now I can imagine the debate between two players deciding what to play:

"Hey, let's play Yanks!"

"OK, but this time let's play a scenario putting Germans against Americans: I'm a bit burned out of scenarios putting Americans vs. Germans..."
