opinion about the dungeon mode , please thanks
Solo Mode can be a lot of fun! However, it can be a bit confusing, even if you've read all the rules! I have house-ruled most every "restricted" character to make them "work" in BattleQuest - if your favourite character is not "allowed", feel free to find a way!
Here are the tips I use to get the most fun out of it.
-Don't neglect to use the Shop at the beginning of the game, and when directed by the level! The challenges are balanced to consider a certain amount of boosting, *particularly* the armor upgrades (Extra HP).
-Each "room" is just a starting setup - it is up to you to track enemy movement, postion, attacks, and HP based on the moves and events that take place.
-Use a d6 for each enemy to determine their attacks after you've set your own attack pair down. This works better than trying to reshuffle the 6 battlecards they give you, and you can set the token in the enemy's spot on the track!
-Use spinners as life counters for each enemy. This can be tidier than writing it down, although that's fine too.
-Use the Round Tracker spinner to time out challenges to get boosts and bonuses, as detailed in the Level's Guide!
-In the background of the room's illustration, it may be clear as to where you "start" - ususally one space will have a door or blank spot, which is where your character(s) should enter.
-Sometimes, a bad play plus a bad roll of the die against the right group of enemies can sink your entire run. That's just the game! If you're playing for fun, just track your stats at the beginning of each "room" - "reset" and try again!
