The game looks great and I'm already onboard the kickstarter. Just wondering if there's a reason that a 5th player wouldn't work as well. Maybe we will see it during the kickstarter when we see some more theme decks (I hope), it doesn't seem like it would change much, and it's just so nice not to have to look for another game when you cross that 4-5 person limit.
My hat? Definitely not a mind-control alien, no.
If all goes well at Kickstarter, we'll be able to add a 5th or even 6th theme pack to the main game, and that will also allow a 5 player game.
In our playtesting, we've found that 5 players works, but it's a good idea to make sure that people know the cards a little first. 5 players isn't a great choice for the first game, but it can be a lot of fun once you've played a few times, especially if you're playing with good friends.
Theoretically, you could keep adding packs and players forever, but the number of cards to manage gets out of hand by 6 players, so 5 is really the practical limit.
Fingers crossed, we'll get to show that off!
I think you got your answer with the Ninja deck stretch goal thats been added!
