Amsterdam Comic Con is next week and one of the things I'm looking forward to is the chance to pick up a new board game or two. So I'm looking for some recommendations.

Game should be played with at least two players (so 2-4 or 2-5 range would be great). Games we really enjoy: Ticket to Ride, Pandemic, Star Wars Imperial Assault, Carcassonne, Lords of Waterdeep.

Thank you all.

I would suggest 7 Wonders, Ticket to Ride Map Collection: Volume 5 – United Kingdom & Pennsylvania and Hanabi

I would pickup Isle of Skye (similar complexity level to some games you mention and just won Kennerspiel des Jahres).
7 wonders is solid advice as well imho

Based on your current collection, we have a lot of games in common.
Some really good choices for you:

Stone Age - intro To worker placement. And it has that fun dice rolling like Catan.
Castles of Mad King Ludwig - this is like Alhambra taken to the next level. Lots of different rooms in different shapes to add to your castle. And bonuses for putting certain rooms next to eachother.
Galaxy Trucker - another good puzzly tile building game. Or just get the app, which is also excellent.

What about Istanbul, a charming game with a variable game board for 1 - 4 players.
It has an expansion which adds a new resource and new board tiles and also makes it playable with 5 players: Istanbul: Mocha & Baksheesh

A second expansion is on its way and will probably be released this year: Istanbul: Letters & Seals

Not a section but probably some vendors that sell games. There were at Dutch Comic Con earlier this year.

Biggest challenge in finding a new game is that some like lighter Eurogames likes TtR, Alhambra and Carcassonne and I'm getting more in to things like Imperial Assault.

There are a few games that span the ameri/euro line, like Small World, Cyclades, Kemet and Blood Rage.

Check out Small World.
Also check out Imperial Settlers or 51st State the Master Set.
Also, Eldritch Horror.
