I finally am ready to start the first non training scenario 18.1.
The play area boundaries are the north and east map edges, hex column 07 and hex row 07. Also says the boundaries are denoted by very small light circles.

Question 1
which way are the columns and which way are the rows ?

Question 2
Which little light circles ?-does this mean the red bordered circles with red lettering inside or something else. If not the red bordered circles, what do they portray ?

Thanks

Look up right between hexes 0601 and 0701 at the top of the map, and you'll see the start of the dotted boundary line for Scenario 18.1.

1. Columns run up and down, rows run left to right -- and this is with respect to both the compass pointing north and the text orientation.

2. The scenario instructions explain the scenario boundaries in detail. The light, dotted circle boundary on the map is just a reminder and corresponds to the text instructions. It's helpful during play so that you don't accidentally maneuver your units outside the playable map area.

The red-bordered circles with red flags in them are victory objectives for the campaign game.

Have fun!
