Hey all,

So I am looking to find games that run like a campaign but not D&D.

So far we have played Star Wars: Imperial Assault, Skulls and Shackles and Arcadia Quest. We have Descent v1 but have not played it.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks,
Sean

Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients may be what you are looking for , I don't own it but it seems to have what you want.

Not really. There are some campaigns, but the regular rules are for single scenarios.

Myth has mechanisms for campaigns.
Shadows of Brimstone was already suggested.
Gloomhaven as well, which I am looking for very much.

Those are the three campaign games I like best (or have highest hopes for).

Descent 2e with the Road To Legend app is pretty good I think.

Folklore: The Affliction is coming up which may also tick all the boxes you're looking for, with a darker gothic theme.

I know you said not D&D, but assuming you mean the actual RPG, have you tried the D&D miniatures boardgames? While the first game had no campaign rules, they've added some with each new game, and the campaign in Dungeons & Dragons: Temple of Elemental Evil Board Game is excellent.

Mice and Mystics

Shadows of Brimstone: City of the Ancients, suggested previously, campaigns, as does it's sister Shadows of Brimstone: Swamps of Death. Both are considered core sets and there are also a few expansions you can pick up.

Pandemic Legacy: Season 1 campaigns.

Massive Darkness, though it's a year from release you can late pledge to the Kickstarter campaign.

The Walking Dead: All Out War, if I recall correctly, campaigns as well. It's not yet out for release yet though.

Darkness Sabotage, Vampire Hunters, Darkest Night (Second edition), Dark Souls: The Board Game, and Darklight: Memento Mori are all upcoming releases and all have campaign modes.

Deep Madness and Legends Untold are both upcoming Kickstarter campaigns with a campaign mode.
