Came across a curious situation in our first play-through. Note: Spaces are numbered from left to right 1-5.

The 'Verse at the beginning of the Action phase
Space 1: Face down episode card
Space 2: Face up Thugs
Space 3: Face down episode card
Space 4: Face down Inevitable card

Player has Mal as Avatar. Player has a Flaw that resolves immediately. Mal's Flaw effect moves the Inevitable card to Space 3, pushing everything else along.

Episode card from Space 1 moves to Combat Zone, revealed as Medical Supplies.

Which of the following occurs?
1. Inevitable card pushes Medical Supplies into Combat Zone. Therefore, players lose the game.

2. Medical Supplies is revealed in the Combat Zone, therefore it moves to the rightmost Space in the 'Verse. Since the spaces to the right of the Inevitable card don't exist, Space 3 with the Inevitable card is considered the rightmost space. Therefore, the Medical Supplies go to Space 3, pushing the Inevitable card along.

3. Medical Supplies is revealed in the Combat Zone, therefore it moves to the rightmost Space in the 'Verse. The Medical Supplies are not able to enter the space with the Inevitable card. Therefore, it goes to Space 2, pushing everything else along.

Anyone have any ideas?

I feel most confident about #1 and that's how I've played it since the rules say anytime a card is added to the verse it just moved the inevitable card instead. This makes sense in conjunction with the ongoing effect of the supplies.

I don't think anything can ever go behind the inevitable card as all spaces to its right are out of play. Even if the card pushed it that space would then be out of play.

The third option is the other possibility and without and official ruling will be hard to say. The question is do you resolve the cards from top to bottom so the reveal ability triggers first then it moves left of the inevitable card? Or is it all simultaneous and the players lose?

The designers have been pretty active here answering questions so I'm sure they will chime in. I usually ere on the side of making it as difficult as possible when things aren't clear in a co-op as that tends to be the way it goes

Hi everyone,

#3 is correct. The idea is that once the inevitable card is in play the "rightmost space in the 'Verse" is the space to its left. (Since you can't move something onto it.)

The text on the Medical Supplies about losing the game is only active once the Medical supplies are face up and in the 'Verse. So you don't have to worry about it getting pushed into the Combat Zone while face down.

However, if in your example the inevitable card were in Space 1 when the Medical Supplies were revealed in the Combat Zone, then there wouldn't be any available space in the 'Verse for it to go and it would end up in the Combat Zone and you would lose.

I apologize for any confusion.
