I think they believe they can use each other, or at least cut a reasonable deal. The problem for the US is that Putin's much smarter than Trump, and can play him like a lute.

Mac, you are off the deep end. I'm a little concerned for your mental health.

Just brace yourself for President Trump. Hillary still can't win.

It would be appreciated if you just got all your conspiracies together in one big Shreve-like thread, instead of 3 threads every day.

The Clinton Foundation received $145 Million after the United States transferred 20% of its Uranium to Russia

For the past few years, I thought Putin was a megalomaniac on the wrong side of history: re-elected and taking office again; striking down some 'freedoms' in Russia; backing Assad; Crimea and Ukraine.

But now I think he's really just fighting to preserve his nation.

We criticized the USSR in the '80s for invading Afghanistan, but then the US had to do the exact same thing in the 2000s.

And why have the relations between Russia and the US become so bad? Why aren't we stronger allies? Russia hasn't invaded Eastern Europe, and has never started a nuclear war. Maybe they aren't the demons the Western powers like to make them out to be.

RSP, once again, has an answer to that vital question: just how far up Putin's ass are people willing to look for that Trump vote?

Where the answer clearly used to be "pawing through corn kernels", and now it's "we've finished that, and now we're somewhere around his tonsils".

Not this bullshit again. You conservatives really need a clipboard so you can check off the faux Clinton scandals that have already been discredited.

First, no uranium has been, or will be, transferred anywhere outside the U.S.A. The U.S. is a net importer of uranium, and the company in question doesn't have an export license. All it can do is to mine the uranium and sell it domestically.

Second, Clinton had nothing to do with this deal. Her Assistant Secretary of State handled it as a routine part of his job. It was approved by the president, close to a dozen U.S. agencies, and several foreign governments, including Canada. One of the agencies was the Department of State, but it was one vote of many and could not have blocked the deal, let alone ensure that it was approved.

Third, the Clinton charity donations were made in 2007, two years before the Russians acquired controlling interest in the company, and almost two years before anyone knew Hillary Clinton would end up as Secretary of State...

and get her one vote out of a dozen...

which was actually the vote of her assistant...

and couldn't make or break the deal...

which would transfer no uranium outside the U.S. anyway.

Now there are almost no real leftists on RSP. In British terms I am a centre leftist on most issues. But I am to the right on defence (except I don't want Trident) So what am I. Certainly not part of a hive mind. The right on RSP seems to be much more similar to each other than the left is.

Both major parties are pro-war and empire. Both parties are the War Party. When one party diminishes and begins to speak about talking with "enemies", the other party resurges in violent nationalistic rhetoric. They are putting on a show so the Empire can continue and the voters have the illusion of change and choice.

And many lefties on RSP have opposed those wars, irrespective of the party.

You do understand there is a not very thin line between "talking to them" and "bombing the crap out of them".

And what "enemy" are we lefties declaring we want a war with?

The establishment left party, the Democrats, want to maintain a globalist interventionist NATO UN establishment. The rhetoric coming out of the Hillary campaign has been fear Putin, fear Russia, fear hackers from Russia, etc. etc. While Obama has been drone striking more than a few countries, the anti-war left has been silent just because Americans aren't being killed. Regime toppling in Syria is what the left wants like they wanted in Libya.

This is the one good thing about Trump IMO. He makes the War Party nervous for all the right reasons:
http://original.antiwar.com/justin/2016/07/21/trump-enrages-...

Though Trump will probably end up making peace with the War Party:
http://original.antiwar.com/dan_sanchez/2016/03/07/trump-wil...

Hillary is the proven pro-war candidate (so much so that neocons are backing her instead of Trump in their own party):

So which party was telling us we need to stop Putin?

But in one perspective you are right, Donny will not confront Putin, it's why putin wants him.

No, and said from the off the course we have been taking for the last 30 years if foolish.

I am just pointing out that not all "lefties" want war (your assertion).

In fact both parties are the "party of war". So if you support either party (by your logic) you support war. That is facile, you can support the majority of a given parties (or even candidates) polices and still not support them all.

As Is aid you vote for many polices, and unless a candidate openly says they will sue nukes (and candidates said that?) then no part if the party of war.

I happen to think that Donnie's inability to not put his foot in his mouth is more likely to cause a war then Clinton's ability to put pragmatism before integrity.
