I suspect the creators have a list of ideas, but I thought it would be fun to pitch out some ideas for park themes.

Giant Robot & Mechs - Shogun Warrior, Iron Giant, Voltron etc?

Funny Cartoon Characters - Funny Bunny & Funny Mouse

Classic Horror - (I know there is a vamp. and maybe it has included: werewolves, mummies, monsters, ghosts, castles, etc.)

Not sure if the Pirates theme covers Waterpark rides (slides, log rides, wading pools, etc) -- but could do something along those lines

edit: with an obligatory Cthulhu theme... =]

Egyptian theme - Pyramid, mummy and treasure hunting

Steampunk theme

Night time theme - light show, dance party, firework, parade etc

Generic Fair ground - generic fairground stuff

What I really want to see is a theme totally playing on inside jokes of another famous theme park simulation game on PC. With cards like making french fires more salty to drive drink sales, making drinks free but charging double price on washrooms, removing paths to park gate to trap visitors and that infamous Mr. Bone ride that never ends etc lol.

Board games! Can have mechs, a dice roll ride, a spinner, goods delivery race, city destruction simulation. I don't think the wheat farming attraction will be very popular though.

Thanks for all your suggestions, lots of good material there! I have a quick tip for aspiring theme pickers

The guideline I've used for naming new themes is that the name needs to be something that can be combined easily with other themes as an adjective as well as being a noun.

For example, the Ninjas pack gives us Ninja, which combines easily with Pirates, Robots, etc.

So something like World of Tomorrow or Yesteryear is a great thematic match for something found in theme parks, but doesn't do so well at combining with the other themes. "World of Tomorrow Ninjas" or "Yesteryear Jungle" is a bit of a mouthful

I've just finished reading The Fourth Bear by Jasper Fforde.

I want Sommeworld. The theme park that recreates all the excitement and glory of trench warfare during The Great War.

So if "Yesteryear" doesn't work then how about "Antediluvian"? That rolls off the tongue & matches perfectly with other themes... e.g. Antediluvian Ninjas. yuk

There's a geek kids' alphabet book in this, for sure!

A is for Aliens, stealing your meeples.
B is for [redacted], watched by the people.
C isn't known yet, we just can't be sure,
D is for Dinos, we love to hear roar!
