Same price for both on CSI if you have a big order anyway.
But if you just want these, then it's like CSI with free shipping under $100!

$63 shipped on Amazon with Prime but until a few weeks ago it was actually only $55 shipped for both. If Amazon drops back down to at least their previous baseline of $38 then it will be $59 shipped for both. All this over a few dollars so like F4ll0ut says it's mostly a matter of where you want to send your $60.

I wonder if this means Secrets will start showing up in sales in the near future? Maybe it isn't selling well?

I hope so. I've wanted Secrets for a while, but haven't really felt the pressure to actually pick it up.

From what I've read, people very much like the expansion but feel the base game is plenty good without it. So I think you have to be playing a lot of CoMKL to justify the purchase.

fwiw if you have the amazon visa card you get 3% back (in cash if you wish) so....

$59 - 3% = $57.23

though if you have it delivered to an address in a State that Amazon has physical presence then you'll pay sales tax (if that State has one)

in any case to base poster, please see the pinned thread

https://www.boardgamegeek.com/thread/1417183/what-hot-deal

for suggestions for what to include in a hot deals post/subject... hint: in this case the retailer. I'd also include in the subject that it's "free shipping" as that's what makes the difference (often some hot deals aren't after shipping costs)

imho ymmv

Presumably, Bezier games makes more money from direct sales. So, if that matters to you, this is a chance to make sure the designer/developer gets maximal benefit (with which to make more great games, of course).

I'd be tempted if it was for the Polish edition with the much nicer art.

Oh. Now you've made me sad.

Castles is a brilliant game with, frankly, terrible art design. I didn't realize there was an edition out there that fixed that problem.

Next you're going to tell me that the European edition is made from beefy, game-quality cardboard...

(the North American edition was printed on cereal box surplus)

Somebody once mentioned to me that the Polish edition was even thinner cardboard...is that inaccurate?

Either way, is $60 for the base + expansion a decent price?

Wow that art for the Polish edition is fantastic. I just bought the app version of this (on sale 2.99) and it's a lot of fun. Not sure I will pony up the cash for a physical copy though.

When I asked two people said there's no perceptible difference:
