We are in the last scene of a 2-player Crossfire mission.
The Mage unfortunately drew Reinforcements as the current Crossfire event. So a fresh Hard Obstacle hits the table in front of him.
He was able to defeat his other obstacle: the Astral Scout. Therefore we know, that the next Crossfire event won't hurt us that much. But the Lone Star Sergeant attacked and the Mage went staggered.

Now it's the Face to play. Note that the Mark is in the Discard and the top 2 cards of your Deck are shown in case you might want to play Clairaudience.
What is the best possible play ?

NOTE: I thought the following was a legal set of plays, but it's not, because I play cards after applying damage. I was misremembering that you can assign damage in whateveer order you choose, and that obstacles immediately lose their active abilities once all damage levels are cleared.

Pity.

Ok, so we have multiple problems here.
1. The Lone Star Seargent does not let us buy cards, so we can not use Black Market Contacts to buy more cards, i.e. damage.
2. The obstacles in front of the Face must be killed, otherwise he/she will be staggered and the game is lost.
3. The Lone Star Seargent must be incapacitated or killed in order to ensure the survival of the Mage.
4. The obstacles in front of the Face need a total of 4 red icons, of which we at most have three.

My solution:

In the first round, we will deal with the red obstacles and put as much damage as possible into the Lone Star Sergeant.
- Clairaudience draws Lighning Bolt and Black Market Contacts, puts back Quickshot and Mana. This way we deal with problem 4, now having 3 red icons and a Lighning Bolt being able to hit the fourth red icon.
- Play all the cards. The Whip pulls the Lone Star Sergeant, dealing with problem 3 and maximizing the damage dealt by the Remington. The Katana makes the Whip and the Remington(!) deal an additional damage.
- Distribution:
- Covert Ops Specialist: Level 1 from Remington (+1 by Katana), Level 2 and 3 from Lightning Bolt, last level from a red card.
- Jaguar Shifter: 3 damage from Remington, the 2 remaining red cards and Clairaudience for the colored damage, and the Whip for the last colourless damage. This way we waste 1 damage (Whip deals 2 damage thanks to the Katana), but the Jaguar is dead, so what?devil
- Lone Star Sergeant: 3 damage from Remington, 2 damage from Katana for a total of 5, leaving the last level untouched.
- The two red obstacles are dead now and the Sergeant is almost finished.
- At the end of the turn, we draw the Mana and the Quickshot put back by the Clairaudience. We still cannot buy anything.
- A new Crossfire hits the table.
- The Mage draws a card (fo their staggered status), gains a credit and discards a card.
- The face gains a credit, discards Mana and deals the last level of damage to the Sergeant with the remaining Quickshot.

Hopefully I did not oversee anything, maybe someone comes with a better solution which kills all the obstacles in one turn.

Play Clairaudience to JS, returning Mana and Quick Shot.
Play the whip on JS, moving the Sarge to the face, preventing it's attack.
Dump the rest of the cards as follows, with the Katana bonus applied and Roomsweeper hitting all targets:

Jason and Sar anwsers sound good. This is a great example of how you can obtain a very narrow win if you can solve the puzzle, no doubt after cursing a lot for that "Reinforcements" crossfire... such an amazing game!
