Just the briefest of updates. Wing Leader: Supremacy has been slated for publication in November. So I’m now in the final weeks of production, mostly assembling the art and kicking it out to testers and fans for proofing. I shall be delivering in three weeks, so it’s all hands to the wheel.

Thanks for the update! I just received Wing Leader but haven't played it yet so it may be perhaps a little premature for me to think of the expansion But then again...

That's why, I'd love to know what would be different about it compared to the original beyond updated planes/technology and battles?

Why buy Wing Leader: Supremacy?

(1) It’s self-contained! It’s a stand-alone game as much as an expansion.

(2) It’s bigger! With 48 new aircraft and four countersheets. The first game had 40 aircraft and three sheets.

(3) It’s better! With more polished v2.0 rules that allow you to use all the late war stuff such as jets.

(4) It’s newer! Well, actually, there’s hardly any new stuff in the rules, other than tweaks. So all the new stuff is the late war aircraft and lots of new scenarios, including big B-17 and B-24 raids. Did I mention the jets?

(5) It’s heavier! We have a mounted map board!

(6) It’s more expensive! (Uh, should I have written that?)

(7) It’s got Romanians! Never mind the quality, feel the width!

Anyway, it’s like the first game BUT MORE SO.

GET IT WHILE IT’S HOT, GRIEVE WHEN IT’S GONE!

Not just 48 new planes, but now with added 'Murica. P-51s, P-47s, and all the bombers going up to the B-29.

Much of the art is done now. Packaging materials are off with RBM. Just the scenario book to finalise. I should be delivering this to GMT in just over a week's time.

If you wanna help with final proofing please go over to the Wing Leader folder on CSW, where much of the action is.

Anyone even remotely interested in WW2 air combat should get these 2 WL games. It is such a wonderful game system with fresh mechanics.

It reminds me of my clunky put together Airfix planes ... and the dreams I had fighting with these odd colored planes when all my life was still before me.

The fast squadron based story telling combat is so much better than the traditional top view games.

1. It gets PLAYED a lot and is quite enjoyable in solo mode, playing 2 sides.
2. It has an awesome amount of different WW2 planes, not just the usual Spitfire vs Me 109 variants.

The story telling is huge with this system and combined with the great production value of GMT makes it ...

... a true Classic.

Thanks for the mounted map in this newly added edition.
