Looking at these stars suddenly dwarfed my own troubles and all the gravities of terrestrial life. I thought of their unfathomable distance, and the slow inevitable drift of their movements out of the unknown past into the unknown future. H.G. Wells

I was going to ask this, but assumed it is some really famous thing only yanks have heard of, in a tragic "oh the humanity" sort of way.

So decided not to in order to avoid the inevitable rage boner.

I'm sure the rage boner will be along shortly enough. 'Specially there was a dumpster and swedish bikers involved.

Must have been a provincial story local to Minnesota, as I don't remember anything about this abduction.

In memorium. Bob Hoover died 25 Oct 2016 at 94. In WWII he was shot down in a Spitfire and stole an FW-190 to escape. He spent decades at air shows flying Ole Yeller, shown

I remember this story, it was strange that the guy let 2 kids go and how old the kid was at the time he was taken. It was a regional story in that it was close the the Johnny Gosch story and drew comparisons.

Minnesota does not have a death penalty so hopefully some life prisoner does his duty and takes care of it.

Yeah, maybe (horrible not fucking you). I dont think child rapists or child murderers deserve to live. You apparently think they can live happily among us. Wait, did you say I am the horrible person in this scenario ?

In civilised countries we don't have the death penalty. Lock him up for the rest of his life but don't hope the is an impromptu killing. That's just n
Barbarism.

So in your mind, there is no crime that a person can commit that will forfeit their life ? So in your mind, all crime is equal. A guy kill a women, life sentence. A man kills 100 people. life sentence. they are are equal to you ?

Yup, justice would be to do the same thing to the perpetrator as he did to the victim. Revenge is locking him up for life.

You don't seem to have a very firm grasp of logic. There are books and probably websites that could help you.

So in your mind, a few seconds of wooziness--which many, many, many people seek out--is a greater punishment than a lifetime imprisoned?

Your equivalence argument is caca, to put it mildly. Despite some judges' delusions, it's not actually possible to imprison someone for hundreds of years. Maybe you should go buy a parrot and see if they really live 100 years.

No Heinrich is the horrible person. And I'm with Jeremy on this one. Hopefully the other cons will rape him a few hundred times before they finally put a shank in him.
