I searched the forum, and didn't see an answer there.

I also haven't seen it happen, yet, but we came pretty close this weekend.

What happens if it's my turn and all of my players are knocked down, dead, or benched AND all I have in my hand is energy or cheat cards?

I can't just burn cards because I feel like it. My opponent can't challenge my players, so I won't be able to burn any cards in that way.

Since burned cards trigger end of quarter, the quarter will never end and my opponent will score an infinite number of points that quarter (unless they feel like playing Tactics cards to eventually end the quarter).

Is there something I overlooked in the rulebook about this situation?

Your opponent will win by the blowout rule. It is when one player is 20 points ahead of another. See page 20 of your rule book for additional details. This is one of the main goals for a goblin player.

Matt is absolutely correct. Eric, I am glad you are playing this game. It gives me some of those Dungeon Twister vibes. I really like it.

I had not even thought about using the blowout rule like that. It makes complete sense, though! Thanks!

I can see why it gives some DT vibes, but it's also much more random than DT, and there's not really the "special ability combo" work that goes into assembling a good DT team. There is a little bit of that with the Ringers - Ringer X with Team Y is REALLY GOOD, but Ringer X with Team Z is ... meh - but not much.

But I'm also a huge sucker for sports-themed games and games that support league play, so this scratches an itch I'd been missing lately (there has been a shortage of good sports-themed games, lately).

So Kaosball isn't going to supplant DT for me, but that doesn't mean I dislike it (or that I'm not going to play the hell out of it).
