I have seen some people refer to the Engineering board or the Agricultural board, etc. Is there somewhere these terms are defined?
Thanx for any help.

They're written on the right side of the boards themselves.

On the player mat. Look towards the right side where you see the box telling you the starting popularity, combat, etc.

So much to pay attention to in the mats...their name is not of importance (mostly XD)...

Out of curiosity, could someone shed light on how the player board types (agricultural, patriotic etc.) relate to the combination of top and bottom row actions, and the yield / cost thereof? It would be interesting to know the design choices that went into assigning these particular labels to their respective player boards.

Not sure on exactly how the namings for the boards go except that they do bear some relation to what their boards encourage them to do eg Agricultural is strong on enlisting and weak on deploy, industrial is encouraged to upgrade and deploy etc.

One thing worth noting about the boards is that the pairing of the top action and the coin for the bottom action is consistent and I presume quite deliberate. Trade is always with zero coins, Bolster with 3 coins etc. Mechanical is slightly different, but same general idea. I haven't really thought a great deal about the reasons, but an obvious conclusion is that trading would be too powerful if paired with a coin reward bottom action.
