I'm hoping to identify the first ever board game based on a videogame.

This site lists Pac-Man as having been released in 1980 which would make it a prime candidate. But Wikipedia says 1982 and while that's not always a reliable source, looking at the inside of the box on here also says 1982. If that's the case, then could it have been released after Donkey Kong?

Any help would be great.

Frogger was 1981, so predates Donkey Kong.

There is this pic which shows 1980 for Pac-Man though...

You know, I've just been looking at Frogger which is stated as 1981. I can't see find a box with a 1981 date-stamp on it. If Pac-Man is 1982 then Frogger of 1981 would certainly be the earliest.

Ah, thanks Jon, I can see that now. But what I think the date is relating to is Midway's arcade copyright. Midway developed Pac-Man in 1980. I notice the inside of the boxes reflect this kind of date-stamping too: so it will say the name of the developer and their date of copyright and then MB's.
