Hi everybody,

I am moving to Frankfurt am Main in October and I was wondering if anyone can point me to some boardgame group or club. I am also looking for players who relish playing meatier wargames or historical miniature games. My German is acceptable at the moment but I am keen to improve

Hi and welcome to Frankfurt!

There are several groups on meetup.com for board games in Frankfurt. In terms of historical miniatures war games, there's http://www.spieltrieb-frankfurt.de/ (unfortunately only in German). The website looks somewhat dead, but I know the club is still going. There's also a pretty good shop in Frankfurt that sells all manner of miniatures, board games, and RPGs and they have a kind of bill board where you can hang flyers for people looking for groups or groups looking for players so that;s worth checking out too.
Hope that helps somewhat!

Ciao Giacomo!

There is a guild for the Frankfurt area on BGG (http://boardgamegeek.com/guild/414), people usually meet on every Thursday evening near Galluswarte station. There are also threads for organizing gaming sessions on the weekend.

Sorry, I somehow completely forgot to include that information. It's called Terminal Entertainment (or T3 for short) and is located in the city centre near Eschersheimer Tor/Hauptwache at Grosse Eschenheimer Strasse 41a
