When trying to navigate to Chris Lawson's FAQ at:

http://freespace.virgin.net/chris.lawson/rk/e-t/faq.htm

I find that the page apparently no longer exists. I've searched around, but haven't been able to find it elsewhere. Did anyone copy/save this FAQ, or make it into a pdf or anything? I'd love to see it again.

It's evident that Chris Lawson is somewhat close to Dr. Knizia, and I like that his answers were apparently confirmed by the designer himself.

I'm not really interested in rules summaries that might incorporate certain elements of this FAQ. I'd like to find the actual FAQ in its entirety if possible.

Thanks in advance for your time. kiss

(I have never seen anyone use that smiley on this site before now. Odd.)

Virgin Media decided that they no longer wanted to provide free webspace for their users, that's why the page isn't directly available.

Gosh, last updated 14 years ago!

That's a shame! This FAQ is important enough that it should be re-uploaded onto BGG.

I guess it wasn't necessary for you to update it in all those years. It's a pretty comprehensive document!

If anyone wants to do that, they should feel free to do so.

I think I will, if I can figure out how to convert it to a pdf or otherwise keep the formatting intact.

Is there anything in it that's not covered by the current rules?

I have created a Q&D version using Serif DrawplusX8, if anyone is interested. There are some omissions and anomalies in the original PDF as I downloaded it and I have noted these.

Edit.
I have managed to resolve the anomalies (my page width settings were wrong blush blush) so the document is complete and readable, although the "typesetting" needs attention to be frank.

Quick & Dirty

I seem to recall something years ago being called QDOS and being disparagingly referred to as a 'Quick and Dirty Operating system.
But I could be wrong. blush

i.e. rough and ready.

Edit: I can convert it to a .pdf. I forgot to make that clear.

Edit 2: I have uploaded a .pdf file of the document image and it has been approved.
