Is giving your gold to another player against the rules in this game?

I would like to do something like the you tube video:

But if giving gold is against the rules that is no longer possible.

I'd say it's against the rules. You could always house rule it, as bribing people for votes would be interesting.

I'm assuming the video is the classic golden balls clip? If so, I'd say this game is a bit too low stakes for that to work. If you did that to me and I believed you, I'd just play steal to spite you. :)
