Dear Colleagues,

We have just received information about C&C Medieval and (coincidence?) I just got access to 3 official CCA scenarios which were published 10 month ago by Vae Victis, touching very late antiquity:

Marcianopolis - 377 AD
Battle of Salices - 377 AD
Andranople - 378 AD

Although scenarios are in French I managed to translate key special rules, etc. to English and put them into Vassal Module (for my personal use, as I think it takes VaeVictis agreement to put them for example on http://www.commandsandcolors.net/ancients/).

So, If anybody is interested in playing quick campaign - kind of CCA to CCM transition one may say - feel free to jump on Vassal around 1800 GMT today (Tuesday, 20.09) or tomorrow (Wednesday, 21.09) also around 1800 GMT. Scenarios seems pretty fast to campaign should also be fast.

As for other possible time slots, I am not sure now but I will let you know.

Regards,
MichalK (mk20336)

Michael, I think your choice for the "transition" scenarios is great. On a website about Byzantine battles, about Adrianople I read "A new era for the importance of cavalry in the Roman wars was initiated. The destruction of Roman troops caused cavalry to be the new dominant fighting force for the next thousand years, taking the place of the previously exalted Roman infantryman." So this seems to be the battle after which they decided to have four blocks in a cavalry unit and the heavy infantry lost one die!
