Is this game better double blind?

In the old AH game Submarine, I have done some spreadsheet work which is used as a double blind umpire. Yes, its crude but does work really well with making a very tense fun game.

I willing to try the same with this game. But I need at least one player to help work with me to develop workable spreadsheet. Interested?

Requirements:
1)Know how to play/use Vassal
2)Willing to use Skype/Teamspeak/etc for online comms(english)
3)Have spreadsheet software. Excel? I current use OpenOffice but hopefully both will work together.
4)Willing to play Live games
5)Know how to use Dropbox for file swapping
6)(optional) I'm really new to BA. Might need to teach me.

Re: Anyone have any Double Blind experience with BA?
I was involved in a couple of double-blind games Terry Simo ran around the time Bloody April came out. They were a lot of fun and I highly recommend it. I recommend chasing Terry up to see how he ran it.

Re: Anyone have any Double Blind experience with BA?
Just to be clear. I'm looking to run BA games with a hidden movement spreadsheet which does not use a 3rd player/umpire(2 player only). Sounds like Terry's was with 3 or more players per game.

Well...I might just cancel this plan since digital version(FOW) in the works.

The game I ran doulbleblind (actually two of them) had 8-10 players (4-5 per side) and was a ton of fun.

I'm intrigued by your hidden movement idea - if you ever finished it let me know what you had planned to do.

Re: Anyone have any Double Blind experience with BA?
The idea is to eliminate the umpire/3rd player referee.

(my spreadsheet idea)-Per turn, each player enters unit locations on his private sheet of the spreadsheet. Then the spreadsheet compares locations/proximity to enemy units. And then spreadsheet spits out a warning/spotted info back to each player on his private sheet.

My problems so far....
No one has signed up to be helper/tester.
I'm still learning the game myself/need teacher.

Note: I have working spreadsheet for old AH's Submarine.
Really fun and very intense versus original rules with limited FOW.
