Can this be moved to the wargame sub-forum for not double-posting?

Or is double-posting ok?

Welcome Newuser! Panzer (second edition) by GMT Games is probably what you're looking for. There is also a Cold War version called MBT (second edition).

These are pretty detailed sims... i suggest you check them out here and than head over to GMT's website. You can download the rules to make sure they're not too complex.

There is also a website called "Panzer Pusher" that is a well done fansite supporting both titles. Good luck

Edit... hi Grogs.

Looks fun, but also a bit intimidating with a rule book of 68 pages.

The complete game is available for pintout on https://sites.google.com/site/thepanzerpusher/play-aids ?

Is that legal?

Yup. Not only is it legal, but GMT has a link on their site to the Panzer Pusher site.

GMT rolls like that. You can play most of their stuff for free online using vassal. They approve of that as well. Great company.

Some of the top-rated modern tactical WW2 games are:

Combat Commander: Europe
Memoir '44
Conflict of Heroes: Awakening the Bear! – Russia 1941-42
Tide of Iron
Heroes of Normandie
D-Day Dice

I'm not sure about the levels, though.

I recently got MBT. The basic rules are much shorter and you can pick and choose which advanced and optional rules you want to add when you are comfortable.

I recommend it if you are interested in the NATO-WARPAC modern genre.
