Crude - I'll try it solo before I work on any more.

Added spaces for 10+

1/8" foam core may be too thick.

Nice work, I really like that. I haven't received the game yet, so my idea was just to get one of those really small travel chess sets with magnets in the pieces. Have the player board sit on something metal (not permanent) thats flat...figured the dollar store/ thrift store would have it. but your idea looks good, if you did all the player boards, do you think every thing would fit in the box still?

good job

Yes - definitely w/o the insert.

Version 2.0 with chipboard

Cuts cleaner and faster but may be too thin to hold pieces in place as well as foam core.

I love this idea, but I dont think 5 pieces of foam core will fit in my box, with the containers I use for storing the cubes and such.

I bought a 10mm square arc punch and hope to make a version with individual slots for each cube using two layers of chipboard. I can see I will definitely have to space the numbers out further than this or the original track did.

Thanks for sharing this!

Where did you get a punch? I've been looking all over for one?

I found this one on Amazon. I haven't received it yet so I can't speak as to its quality or effectiveness on chipboard.

Finally got around to trying it. It was utter crap, or at the very least it didn't work very well on the chipboard I tried it on. I used a rubber mallet and used a 2x4 for backing.

FYI I ended up laminating these boards and using dry erase markers as the least expensive home made option.
