I've been thinking about making a game that has Marbles as a mechanic in the game.

Can anyone think of games with marbles in them? Other than Kerplunk I can not think of them.

Thanks for any input you have.

Avalanche has marbles in it (and is where most of the marbles I own come from).

The balls in Hungry Hungry Hippos are white marbles.

Stay Alive has marbles, but I don't think it qualifies as a "marbles mechanic".

The Secret of Monte Cristo uses marbles for the turn order track for each of the four actions - one of those actions being to manipulate the marbles of the turn order track

Pentago has marbles as playing pieces

Our 6x2 Mancala board comes with small marbles as seeds (73 so you can play Kalah with 6 marbles per pit and one spare). Mancala games are played with all sorts of things though. Traditionally stones, seeds, shells. Western boards often have glass beads instead of marbles.

In both cases the marbles aren't really crucial to the games, other pieces would work, so they are not really a marbles mechanic.

Lots of games here, though many just use marbles as pieces rather than marbles being essential to the game.

Here's two more (which may be in the family):

Indeed it does, and the same mechanism is used with a different board and objective in Kuba.

I'm pretty sure this game is rubbish, but it looks fantastic.
