So the thing I did when picking out H&M packs was to check out their ratings on here. But that helps you learn things like Bonds of the wild gets a good score because familiars are cool.

But for you getting this for the app campaign it would probably be really nice to know which monsters the app is most likely to swap in.

You can usually guess. The app will swap in large based monsters of similar theme (ogre/giant/ettin/Wendigo, or crypt dragon/shadow dragon/Ice Wyrm) or small units of similar utility (zombies/reanimates, dark priests/flesh moulders) etc.
