I played Tricky Pirates last night with the Sweetheart's gamer group. We had a situation where the oceans were full of ship loads of pirates but the wind tokens had been played much more aggressively than normal. So moving was hard.
It was suggested by Cameron that some of the secondary actions on the Sword and canon deck be made moments. Getting a tavern full of pirates is pretty easy. So I've swapped pirate for move on three of the cards to make the game a little more dynamic. You can still be a dick with the weather, but now you can also have extra opportunities to move without winning the trick.
If you've already printed out your cards and enjoy the game, no problem. But If you'd like to have a little more maneuvering? Print your self some new cards.
I've also removed the sting from the cutlass deck. No more combat losses.
