Diggit - we're working on our first board game - Dungeon Degenerates - A Dark Fantasy Adventure. I just finished the map last night. Eric Radey is the head game designer. We're launching our kickstarter on October 11th!

Here are the pencils for the box art. It features the Dungeon Degenerates surrounded by a fiendish mob of Monsters.

A couple questions:

Is "degenerates" being used here as a noun or a verb?

What do you do in this game?

Ha ha - a noun - you play escaped criminal adventurers - mostly who have been imprisoned for crimes of survival or for being marginal characters like witches & gravediggers/robbers & you go on seedy adventures in the Wurstreich, an Empire in Decline which is being menaced by a hallucinating wizard, armies of monsters & degenerated imperial citizens & the Hand of Doom!

This is the Chicken Goblin - goblin chicken rider sculpted by Jason Fairclough for the game. We've got a set of monster miniatures being cast now & lots more in the works.

That card is just for prototype purposes, right?

The design is cringe worthy, but it's ok if you use that only to test game etc...

EDIT: Ok, I just saw your web page with other designs, and it is in the style of old 'troma' and underground comics, so I get it. But I still think background colors should be toned down a bit so the item is more visible.
I would also avoid all the box-art for text and make something more 'loose', or just use the icons done by the same artist.
Also, try comic looking fonts for the text. They would go much better with the whole design.

Thanks for your suggestions! The colors in the game are taken from 70s Marvel comics & Black Light posters. Here's my progress on the cover.

I am in love with your art and colour palette. If the game is at least passable then you've probably got a sale to me based on them alone!

Setup:
1) Cut the piece of the corner and put it under your tongue.
2) Leave the game aside.
3) Start playing Lady Bug Adventures or something with similar level of excitement.
4) When you hear screams from the box and it starts moving, setup's done.
