Please someone clarify this.

This card already published in the starter box.
I saw this alternate promo card on line public auction.
I do not understand what is the purpose of selling/giving these cards ?
Everyone whom already own a starter deck has the original copy (Secret Legion) so why would anyone buy alternate art...

Would it make more sense to have new card as promo that way everyone can order a new card instead of looking at a promo card with same function of the original card previously published ??

what is the purpose ?

Thx for clearing this.

I think you answered your own question.

Some people really like alternate-art promo cards.
Some people don't.

It's mainly directed to the people who collects cards.
Having a card with alternate art that is more scarce to find that the regular card is a must for collectors.

Designers of this game make the same card , same ability but different image.
Not like say Mage Wars Arena designers provide promo cards which actually has new card game ability purpose,
That way it scratches the back of both types of fans,
The type that plays and look forward to new cards and the type that plays and is a collector.
Ok I get it.
