Hi there!

I'm looking for a civilization game recommendation. I already have clash of cultures with the expansion, sid Meyer's civilization with all expansion and the new through the Ages. I'm a vlaada fan so heavy games are not heavy. Hehe
Also have twilight imperium 3 and eclipse, although I don't consider them civ games.
My request is a game that must be/have:

-civ game
-tech tree
-earthly game (not with aliens, although magic middle age is fine)
-it really has to have a tech tree
-I must be able to play a two players game since I mostly game with my wife.
-economic game. Resources, military, tech tree (XD) and such.

Tnx for the help!

Advanced Civilization is the best Civ game in my opinion. I would recommended above all others. The main draw back is that it is longer then the other games you mentioned and it can be played with two but is better with 4 or more.

Antike Duellum fits most of what you want but instead of a tech tree it has technologies you can buy. You can buy as many as you can afford in whatever order you want. So it you're willing to relax the true tech tree constraint this game may be worth checking out.

Another possibility:
War! Age of Imperialism (2001)

And a couple of other places to look. A true tech tree appears to be somewhat of a rarity, and when you also require the game to take place on earth and be good for 2 players, it really narrows down the options.

I know good civ games requires more players, but we get what we get. Hahaha
Also, the wife really hates space games, movies, books etc. It really sux, but I couldn't convince her otherwise. And I've tried!

Antike might be something I would like. I'll find out more about it.

War seems to be good, but I'll have to dig around to find a good copy.

Thanks

Hitler's War is not exactly a civilization game but it does have an interesting technology tree and last time I checked it was not set in space.
