When surfacing in realtime and one operator draws outside of the lines, what are the valid courses of action for that operator?

1. Erases his mistake and tries again before handing off
2. Hands off to the next operator anyway, hoping the enemy team doesn't notice
3. Erases all lines and hands back to the first operator to start again
4. Something else?

1. Is the option I would use.

According to the rules:
Quote:
The Engineer takes the sheet and shows it to the enemy Engineer to confirm that no lines were drawn outside the white outline. If this is not the case, the team must start over.

I play with casual people so we usually go with #1 though.

Yeah I took that to mean the team hadn't caught the mistake before handing the sheet over. If I caught my own mistake while doing the circle I'd fix it straight away (it's still my own teams time I'm wasting).
