That's right, I just finished one forum game and I am going right the heck into another.

This time, it's anything goes. Any officially released variant will be allowed in this game. When you come to claim a play slot, post which hero you'd like to play, and give me, let's say, three votes for villain and environment. Most votes for those from the active players will win! (And may I direct you to this thread for some ideas?) Advanced/challenge will be decided once the villain is locked in.

There is one caveat, however: I want one person to play Captain Cosmic, Chrono-Ranger, Omnitron-X or Sky-Scraper. Which is to say, once one of those is chosen, the other three will be locked. Why those? Because I don't have them physically yet! I'm going to run this game via Tabletop Simulator (so I don't lock up seven physical decks for a month), but I want to try out a spreadsheet idea I had to maximize flexibility in my future options.

So, the tl;dr is:

1) This is a free-for-all, no preference given to applicants. First come, first served!

2) Pick any official variant and provide three votes each for villain and environment

3) One person must pick from Captain Cosmic, Chrono-Ranger, Omnitron-X or Sky-Scraper, after which the others will be unavailable.

4) Help out the PBF statistics maybe?

That's it. :B Good luck!

I'll probably message you next time, LL, if you're still on the waitlist. (Just didn't want to bother with it this time, sorry.)

So, it looks like we've got Scholar of the Infinite, Fused Captain Cosmic, the Naturalist (and yes, Desperate Prey is way easy mode, I'm considering not allowing him in my games, he's that bad), Termi-Nation Unity and Freedom Five Legacy versus La Capitan in the Time Cataclysm! I can hold another vote with the top three vote-getters if you guys like, but this seems pretty thematic, so I'm fine with it.

Give me a day to set things up (I was unexpectedly out all day!), and in the meantime, vote for if you want Advanced, Challenge, Both or Neither!

Oh yes, and the turn order will be random:

Radulla (Scholar): 1d100 = (83) = 83
SnarksandBoojums (CapCos): 1d100 = (98) = 98
Jeff (Nat): 1d100 = (36) = 36
ffyoyo (Unity): 1d100 = (81) = 81
grysqrl (Legs): 1d100 = (58) = 58

Given how swingy La Capitan is to begin with, I would prefer just vanilla.

If people prefer to go with something harder, I would vote Challenge ahead of Advanced... too hard to remove facedowns on Advanced.

I'm fine with vanilla. I haven't faced La Capitan all that often, anything that makes it harder to deal with face down cards sounds bad.

Unity, let's see just how many hero targets we can spam the board with.

End: La Capitan deals the hero target with the highest HP 4 projectile damage.

Battle Forged deals Unity 5 energy damage. [22]

Trueshot deals the Scholar 4 projectile damage. [27]

Final Breath deals Unity 3 toxic damage. [19]

Siege-Breaker deals the Naturalist and Captain Cosmic 3 irreducible fire damage each. [26]

Round one, End of La Capitan's turn:

"Andale, cabrones!" Maria Helena shouted over the churning timestream. "Stir your stumps! There's battle to be had!"

And as her crew came over the side of the magnificent sailing ship, whooping and shouting and brandishing energy weapons from out of time, the heroes, already confused by just where and possibly when they had found themselves, were taken completely off their guard. And so the high-time-seas struggle began...

Villain Effects:
Whenever a hero card is destroyed by a villain card, put it under this card.
Whenever Battle Forged destroys a target, play the top card of the villain deck.
Whenever a hero card is played, Trueshot regains 4 HP.
Increase damage dealt by Final Breath to targets with 10 or fewer HP by 1.
Reduce damage dealt to Siege-Breaker by 1.
Start: If there are 3 or more cards under La Capitan's villain character card, she flips.
- Shuffle the villain trash into the villain deck. (La Paradoja Magnifica)
- L'Epeiste deals the hero target with the highest HP X energy damage, where X = the number of hero ongoing and equipment cards in play. (Currently, X = 0)
End: La Capitan deals the hero target with the highest HP 4 projectile damage.
- Play the top card of the villain deck. (La Paradoja Magnifica)
- Battle Forged deals the non-villain target with the lowest HP 5 energy damage.
- Trueshot deals the hero target with the highest HP 4 projectile damage.
- Final Breath deals the hero target with the lowest HP 3 toxic damage.
- Siege-Breaker deals the 2 hero targets with the highest HP 3 irreducible fire damage each.

Environment Effects:

Seems right to me. What do we think target #2 is? Battle Forged? Seems like with Captain Cosmic and Unity, Battle Forged will have plenty of targets to do 5 damage to.

Do we think there's a chance of burning through 14 HP of La Paradoja Magnifica this turn?

This is my first time dealing with Fusion Cosmic as well, so forgive me if I screw up.

Requital reveals Potent Disruption, Cosmic Weapon and Cosmic Crest. Captain Cosmic will take no damage, I just need to know where you want the various cards to go, which one you'll destroy, and who you'll deal the damage to.
