Kids games are fine as well. Basically anything.
Examples of what I have in that range..... Rat a tat Cat, Sleeping queens, tichu, Battle for Hill 218.

Thanks !

I think Codenames has been found at around $10 with sales recently...or are you looking at MSRP of $10?

Codenames is a good rec. Spyfall and Council of Verona also hover around that mark, though more often closer to 15. I just picked up Council of Verona for 9 shipped on Amazon Prime, though.

No, just something I can get for around that price on Amazon.

Sushi Go Party! - Great little party game.

Codenanes (as previously suggested) is also a good party game.

Celestia is a light, fun, push your luck game.

Battle Line is a more strategic 2-player game

These might be a few bucks over the $10 limit, but not by much.

Forbidden Island is the game I think of for value in a box (tin actually). It usually is in that 10-15 buck range.

+1 for Harbour, it's a really fun game, easy to learn but provides enough depth and variation to stay fun after a couple of plays.

Port Royal, Cthulhu Realms and Mystery Rummy: Jack The Ripper were also fun $10-15 games for me. :)

Harbour looks interesting and I've heard good things about it.

How do you think it would play with someone who can't read yet ?

The game is not that text heavy, most stuff is symbols which are easy to learn, but the game requires some complex thinking ahead and coming up with a plan B if things change - I'm not sure how fun it would be for a young child, I haven't dared trying the game with my 10 year old yet because he's not much into games where you have to think a lot about what you do, he's super impatient (he liked Cthulhu Realms tho, the art might be a bit too scary for some children tho, but it's more on the silly side). A child who has a knack for logic puzzles and strategic thinking could easily play Harbour, I'd say. I mean, I played chess with 6 and was good at it, now I suck at it completely. ;)

No Thanks! is one of my very favorite games of any length or complexity and it's $10. Super simple to teach, fast to play, yet creates some interesting decisions and table talk.

I Go!, but use the original Corsari Rules[1]. So good. The only thing I'd note is that there's so much to juggle that table talk dwindles to murmurs, abortive mumbles, and sudden muhahahahs.

+1 on Star Realms. For my money, it's the best game at that price point bar none, and top 10 worthy regardless of price.

Thank you for all of the great suggestions.
I think No thanks! is going to be the one.

Would've been star realms if I didn't already own it.
