Jesse Li is listed as the designer of both and this game fits TtA more than G&S:Renaissance. Are they the same?

Translated Pegasus copy wrote:
The the Ages series receives appreciation with a card game in a small format. Each civilization starts here small and can gradually work up to a card pyramid with technological developments - from the invention of gunpowder to aerospace. But each card is not just a technology, but also a resource, depending on how it is played. So the players have to decide in each round, which cards they as a resource for the development and what they want to use as an action. Anyone planning here well and uses confrontations sent for themselves, will be able to prevail in the end against the competing civilizations. Thanks to the two sets contained themes already provides the basic game a lot of variety.

Sounds more like G&S and possibly Renaissance as well.

The Machine of "The Flow of History" is many different to "Guns & Steel"(Im Wandel der Zeiten: Das Kartenspiel) and "Renaissance"

"The Flow of History" BID cards at market as "Power Grid", and stack up cards as "Innovation".

"Guns & Steel" and "Renaissance" BUY cards at market as "Splendor", and USE cards as "Master Merchant".
