Scenario Summary


The Ravens are in the Noble's Quarter by day, slowly making their way back out of the city. Out cart is pulled up close to a huge villa which dominates this area and stands alone and almost undamaged compared to the surrounding ruins. There's Wyrdstone in a wide arc throughout this area, so we've split into three groups to locate it as quickly as possible.

Seidel has led McFearsom and Hod to the North East, Grimwulf is with Feggins and Marius alongside out cart in the North West, whilst Boris and Meshell are far to the South.


Grimwulf's group are with our cart in the North West.



Boris and Meshell are alone in the South of the map, let's hope it goes better then last time..


Wanting to avoid what has happened the last few times we've split up in this way (getting caught in fights whilst divided), the plan is different this time! All groups will converge on the large villa in the center of the map. Once united we will loot the remaining ruins as one! At least that's the plan..

Turn 1
Grimwulf's group begin to move for the meeting point on the grounds of the villa. Just a stone's throw away from our cart they stumble upon the tortured and mutilated corpse of a woman. Feggins stoops down to examine the body. 'Was it the Skaven?', Marius asks gravely. Feggins pulls out a broken arrow head from the corpse's back, its tip is crudely barbed for maximum pain and discomfort. 'No', he replies lifting the arrow head for the others to see, 'It was Chaos Cultists, and this kill is recent'. Feggins removes a pouch from the body, the chink of coins inside, and throws it onto the cart. He then stands up and draws an arrow from his quiver, looking around cautiously. 'Let us not dawdle then, but head to meet the others quickly', advises Grimwulf.


Feggins and Marius find a corpse not far from the cart, looks like trouble!


McFearsom takes the lead in the North East, heading through the first row of ruins towards the next street when he spies an enemy! Its the Cult Leader- a Magister! McFearsom raises his Handgun and shoots. The Magister cries out in anger as the shot rips through him.


McFearsom spots the enemy leader outside collecting Wyrdstone!


Seidel is close behind McFearsom and charges out into the street to strike at the Magister whilst he's recovering from the shot. The Magister reacts faster then Seidel anticipates, loosing an arrow and striking him as he approaches. He pushes past the pain and continues his charge, dealing a brutal slash across the Magister's front that knocks him down to his knees in shock. Seidel swings back and cuts the Chaos Leader's head clean off in one sweep! Seidel looks up from the Magister's body to see a Berserker and a Darksoul closing on him, hungry to avenge the death of their master!


Seidel brashly charges the Magister, not noticing the Berserker until its already too late to go back!


The Darksoul charges Seidel, slicing into him with his own blade!


A Darksoul moves in to avenge its fallen leader!


In a moment of clarity (or maybe stupidity) Hod has cut around the buildings rather then follow McFearsom and Seidel, putting him in a position to sneak up on the Berserker.


Hod sneaks up on the Berserker from behind!


This proves difficult however as the Berserker is a mutant, his bare chest and back covered in pallid eyes that see all around it! The Berserker rolls past Hod's charge, countering back with his serrated Spear. Hod's new Fine Armour luckily absorbs much of the damage!


Hod finds that trying to sneak up on and hit an enemy who's covered in eyes that can see in all directions can be tricky!


Boris is collecting a large Wyrdstone shard as he and Meshell hear the sound of fighting in the distance. They brake out in a run as Boris leads with Meshell several paces behind. As Boris runs into and through the ruins ahead Meshell sees a Brethren chasing after him and towards her! She drops a Black Powder trap in the entrance of the ruins and takes cover among some overturned bits of furniture.

Turn 2
Boris heads out of the ruins to find the large villa up ahead, but he stops short to bag up several pieces of Wyrdstone. With his bag brimming with the precious stuff he checks back for Meshell and sees she hasn't followed after him.

The Brethren doesn't take the bait and goes straight past the trap to attack Meshell!


The Brethren totally ignores Meshell's trap and charges straight for her!


He hits her with his Greataxe, doing heavy damage. Meshell is trapped in the corner, unable to brake away! She drops her Rifle and draws her blades, slashing back at the enemy.

McFearsom reloads and shoots at the Berserker but it ducks the blast, its many extra eyes once again keeping close tabs on incoming attacks!


McFearsom tries to help Hod, but the Berserker dodges yet another attack!


Seidel assaults the Darksoul, swishing his Greatsword back and forth, denying it the offensive!


Seidel fights back at the Darksoul, eager to finish him off and move to help his friends!


Grimwulf's group is still heading for the center of the map, closing on Boris and Meshell.


Grimwulf spurs on Feggins and Marius as they traverse the villa's huge garden.


Turn 3
Seidel's group is now beset on all sides as more Cultists turn up! Hod lands another blow on the Berserker, but the Berserker ripostes with a stab that spears Hod between the armour.


Hod lands a blow, finally! But he'll need several more to beat the Berserker!



Unfortunately the Berserker critical hits poor Hod, leaving him stunned and vulnerable as the Berserker lays into him!


The Berserker pushes roughly, forcing Hod to the ground, helpless! Seidel is still fighting the Darksoul as another Brethren approaches them. McFearsom starts to reload but a Mutant attacks him from behind!


A Mutant arrives, engaging McFearsom before he can fire again!


Seidel gets the upper hand on the Darksoul and cuts him down.


Seidel puts down a second enemy!


He loots the body and charges the Mutant as McFearsom brakes away!


Seidel charges in against the Mutant, freeing McFearsom from combat!


Meshell carves a web of steel with her Sword and Dagger, landing several blows on the Brethren, but she lacks the killing strength of the others, and she is losing the fight fast!


Meshell tries her best to fend off the Brethren, but she's just not strong enough on her own!


Just then Boris charges into the room, sees his wife in trouble and bulldozes into the Brethren, his Sword stabbing straight through and out of the side of his neck with a squish! The Brethren collapses to the floor, dead.


Boris bursts in and delivers his wrath upon the Brethren for threatening his wife!


Grimwulf arrives as Meshell hugs Boris for a second and pecks him on the cheek. 'Thanks husband', she grins. Boris goes to respond but stops as he listens to the sound of McFearsom whistling in urgency. 'Seidel's group is in trouble!,' he says, 'let's go!'. He runs out towards the sound of the fighting. Meshell orders Grimwulf and Marius to secure any loot in the ruins as she cuts the other way towards Feggins.

Hod grits his teeth and grabs the Berserker's Spear. He pushes himself back onto his feet, raising himself up off the ground and then slowly pulling the Spear free! Once its clear of his arm he headbutts the Berserker, driving him away and grabs his Halberd. He swings it up, slashing the Berserker once again!

Turn 4
The Brethren charges Seidel too, sandwiching him between two combatants! He ducks and weaves the Brethren and Mutants' attacks, only taking a single blow!


Seidel may have bitten off more then he can chew as he comes under attack from multiple opponents!


McFearsom finishes reloading and shoots at the Darksoul at Seidel's back.


McFearsom tries to reduce the pressure on Seidel!


Feggins and Meshell are now closing in on the fight as Boris arrives, charging in against the Mutant who dodges his initial attack.


Boris charges in to try and rescue Seidel!


Not far behind him a Chaos Sorcerer also arrives, clearly now leading the Cult in absence of the dead Magister!

Turn 5
Despite Boris's best efforts to help Seidel he doesn't make it in time! Seidel dodges the Brethren's Greataxe but is slashed across the thigh by the Mutant. He drops to his knees, stunned! The Mutant wastes no time and Seidel cries out as it stabs down into his shoulder! Seidel collapses out of action!


Poor Seidel is knocked to his knees and finished off by the Mutant despite the efforts of Boris and McFearsom!


Boris and McFearsom shout out as an arrow pings by from Feggins who has now moved into a sniping position from the ruins nearby.


Feggins arrives to try and support the remaining Ravens!


Boris is now pinned as the Chaos Sorcerer moves in, trapping him between three enemies as he stands over the prone figure of poor Seidel!


The Cult's second in command, a Chaos Sorcerer finally reveals himself!


TURN 6
More Cultists arrive as it quickly becomes apparent that we are losing the battle!

The Brethren loots Seidel, taking his Fine Greatsword and uses it to attack McFearsom! Boris, still sandwiched between two enemies Dodges and Parries for his life!


Boris is now the center of attention as the Sorcerer and Mutant gang up on him!


Hods wounds are also taking their toll, and he is weakening fast! We must end this fight as quickly as possible!

Feggins leaves his cover and walks forwards, his Bow raised as he attempts to get a better shot. He skewers an arrow through the Mutant's head, finally putting it down and avenging Seidel!


Feggins puts an end to the Mutant, dropping the enemy's morale substantially!


The Chaos Sorcerer refuses to brake however and encourages his minions to fight on!


The Chaos Sorcerer holds the remaining Cultists in place despite the Ravens making a quick come back!


Boris brakes from him and charges the Berserker, hoping to relieve Hod.


Boris brakes from the Sorcerer in an attempt to stop the fall of another Raven- Hod has only a slither of his wounds remaining!


McFearsom also brakes away by using a hole in the wall to slip from his fight with the Brethren. He climbs up onto the ruined gatehouse for cover.


McFearsom retreats up into the cover of a sniper's nest!


Meshell and Grimwulf have also now caught up to the fight. Meshell shoots the Sorcerer as Grimwulf charges past and into combat with him.


Meshell shoots at the Sorcerer, stopping him from pursuing Boris!



Grimwulf charges past Meshell and makes sure the Sorcerer won't be going anywhere!


Boris's arrival gives Hod the brake he needs, and whilst the Berserker is distracted he smashes his Halberd down on its head, cleaving straight into the Berserker's Helmet, splitting his skull!


Boris finally gives Hod the brake he needs and he delivers the killing blow to the Berserker, knocking the Cult's morale right down!


With the fight suddenly turned in The Ravens' favour and only a couple of Brethren remaining the Chaos Sorcerer finally brakes and flees, his minions running along with him!

Hod slumps to the floor, breathing heavily. 'You ok lad?', Boris stoops to comfort Hod and starts to patch up his injuries. The others go to the aid of Seidel. He comes around with a shake, his wounds only superficial under his armour. We were lucky this time!

Victory!
