I'm putting together a BOTB/Top 100 piece on the best (playing) card art. If any of you have done this already or seen it somewhere else please share a link.

Just to clarify I'm not looking for re-imaginings of the traditional 52 card deck like those seen here: http://www.hongkiat.com/blog/unique-playing-cards/ and other places. I mean playing cards from a table top game or games like deck builders.

So if you have a favourite and would like to tell me please please do.

Its a toss up between Abyss and The Bloody Inn.
Think I have to learn toward Abyss but I really love the unusual and creepy look of the Bloody Inn. Of course anything by Vincent Dutrait could go here.

Definitely any game by Vincent Dutrait. All his art is made in real watercolors on paper, and then scanned and composited digitally with little to no retouching, so it has a warm and lively feeleing that is often lost with digital illustration and coloring (although Michael Menzel is a master at capturing that same feeling in a fully digital medium).

Dutrait's work from Lewis & Clark.

And some of Menzel's cards, from Havana.

Lewis & Clark would have to be my pick as well. So vibrant and beautiful.
