The end game condition is

1) when the future card is placed in the market, game ends on current player's turn
Or
2) when the future card is directly gained by a player

My question is, if the future card is placed in the market during cleanup phase of player A's turn, does the game end at the end of player A's turn (which is immediately), or does it end at the end of player B's turn (next player)?

I'm thinking it would end immediately, giving no one the chance to buy the card in the process?

Yes, that seems to be the case.

The game ends immediately when The Future enters the market. The only way for a player to obtain The Future is by drawing it with Satellites or Columbus.

In our first game, my son kept Columbus alive until the end of the game in the hopes of getting The Future, but the timing went so that he had to be satisfied with Columbus (not Al Gore) finding The Internet, while my Satellites saw The Future.
