In the cleanup phase, its stated:
"Discard all continuous boost in your in-play area"

Also, in the boost action rules:

"Continuous boost enhance your next attack..."

"If it is Continuous, keep it in play. There is no limit to the number of Continuous Boosts in your in-play area."

And in the exemple:

"This boost would stay in play and will get stronger and stronger until your next strike."
"This boost makes you retreat 2 spaces right now. In addition, your next attack will gain tha Before trigger described.

So, discarding continuous boost rule at the clean-up phase is surely an error since we can not gain advantage from this continuous boost for next strikes.

Am i missing something?

Continuous boosts are there until a strike happens. You don't strike every turn because then you'd run out of cards quickly and be weak. So, often you start a bit of an arms race with putting up continuous boosts until the opponent forces a strike to get them out before your next attack is monstrous or when you think you have a pretty good situation for your next strike.
