Got my package yesterday and this game is the bomb. Played til 1am with my buddy, and we're old men so that's saying a lot. A few rules questions can we up in the first two missions:

1) mission 1, Minions want to move towards the bomb, prioritizing movement on the blue green axis. Is proximity measured by the number of non-diagonal "steps" it would take to get to the bomb? Also, is there any guidance on which Minions move in which order? We tried to move them all "at the same time" but there were a lot of situations where Minions would block each other with one order or not with the other.

2) mission 2, can the Minions reach the school from the sides or only from those front center two spaces? The arrows in the mission briefing only cross onto the school at those center two spaces, but that would make the outermost flanks of Minions completely worthless.

The FAQ available on the website has the following:

FAQ wrote:
Minion Movement: Minions prioritize movement along the Blue/Green axis - preferring to always travel towards their objective unless that direction is blocked or unless the Blue/Green axis no longer brings them closer (and then they travel down the red/yellow axis). When two minions might try to enter the same space, start by moving the minions closest to the objective. In the case that two minions are equally close, the minion furthest along the Blue/Green axis goes first. In the rare event that they’re still tied, the first player chooses which minion to move first.

They can reach it from the sides. The rules say they always move 1 space closer. The arrows that do overlap the school do so out of necessity as some minions are turning at that spot.

"The FAQ available on the website..."
What website? Where? I couldn't find one on the MVM website. And the only one in the Files section here is Rodney's unofficial FAQ.
