Yes, it's cooperative with no hidden info. No adjustments needed.

Yes but I always play at least 2 fire-fighters. But still very manageable even with 5 or 6 fire-fighters.

If I play solo, I only use the Generalist. It works very well.

I play it solo all the time. I play with four fire fighters and it's easily managed. I highly recommend this game for solo play.

Same here, 4 firefighters. I also like the game with several players, but sometimes you may find yourself doing always the same task depending on the role you are given (some are more specific than others). Playing with several of them adds more variety. In fact, when we are two players each of us uses 2 roles!

I find these games much more suited for solitaire (fun) gaming experience than the formal solitaire ones. In addition, the fire spread mechanism with dice adds uncertainty and tension, nothing IS under control until the very end! Although you can optimize your control level, of course. So this is less a puzzle, like most solitaires (and some coops), and more a dynamic challenge.

PS/ I liked it so much that I used a similar mechanism for my game Tetrarchia.

PS#2/ In practice, I place the role cards in front of me and I put a marker on top of the firefighter whose turn I'm in...

I only play solo with this game. I just played my fourth game advanced rules and it was a nailbiter. The hotspots really messed me up I had it under control with two firefighters and then the hotspot started to multiply multiply multiply and then I lost with too many damage markers. Super super fun.
