Rise Up: The Game of People & Power is a cooperative game where players have to build an activist movement and beat an unjust system. It's currently on Kickstarter through November 3rd. We've reached our main goal, and now we're headed for our stretch goals!

Here's the Kickstarter link for Rise Up.

Cooperative mechanics

Rise Up has unique cooperative mechanics that keep players engaged during the whole game, even when it's not their turn. Players are encouraged to build off of each other's moves through a chain of events. If you want a detailed overview of the game play, check out the write up here.

Rise Up comes with two games in one. The standard version of the game is a strategy game that can only be won through close player collaboration. The simplified version of the game is great for novice players.

Story-telling option

Rise Up will naturally tease out the story of your movement as you play. It can be serious (fighting for a living wage) or silly (fighting for free ice cream for everyone). Each game of Rise Up you play will be different because a different story will be told with each round.

The system is fighting back

Players can only win by scoring more victories than the system. But if the system gains too much power or the players run out of supporters, their movement is crushed.

Ethical manufacturing

We worked hard to make Rise Up an ethically manufactured game. It will be printed by a worker-owned cooperative in California and on environmentally friendly materials wherever possible.

Here's the Kickstarter link again. Let me know if you have any questions!

I was going to say Best of luck on this one. But it looks like it has funded, so congratulations!
