We are happy to announce, that there will be a 2nd edition of "Steam Noir: Revolution" with new background world, new art and new title ("Dark Empire: Revolution"), released by Giochi Uniti at the Games and Comic fair at Lucca on Oct 28th. First only with Italian rules, but English will be put online on Boardgamegeek very soon.

Box cover and back of the new edition

Probably some of you ask: "New name? New art? Why that?" Quite simple: The original artist Felix Mertikat has not only finished (together with author Verene Klinke) his epic Steampunk comic series "Steam Noir: The Copper Heart" in the meantime, but also a French edition started, and he still is the owner of all rights for "Steam Noir". The international rights for any given language/country should not be split to several publishers, but only being licensed for the whole "Steam Noir"-franchise. Thus the game needed a general overhaul.

[Edit:] In the meantime, the BGG entry was changed into "Dark Empire - Revolution".

The only change is, that I proposed to take the additional rule (the emperor also loses with 15 or more points ahead) right into the printed ruleset, which they did.

Otherwiese, it's the same.
