Hi all,
After 1 month stop we finally go trough september.

4 player game: set up show just 1 fade (yelloew coda) some trouble in red and europe.
we got 2 research base (atlanta and chennay) and 6 military (1 each zone)

2 player with 2 yellow card each, 1 with 2 black, and 1 with black and blue.


we choice soldier (paramilitar escort and local pressure), dispatcher (pilot, veteran), scientist (1st play so coworker with soldier) and medic (local connetction)

we give soldier to the player who have a faded-city's card with a military base (lucky shot).
scientist got 2 black and dispatcher to the other with 2 yellow card.


soldier found paranoid man in his 1st turn.
He was the last of the round cos an unlucky starting player flip, so an epidemic strike before him, but he equally reach the search obj cos:
month start bonus+2 + serch with same city 2 times = +10)

and we lost him!
nevermind.. better now with few fade that in agost in which we were invaded.

now we got a civil.. quite soon with thought abuse him to skip some contamination.
So he became our hero making sacrifice every turn (he just discard cards and respawn in a reserch base)
he always did something like: move, move, quarantine, sacrifice

we find black cure quite early (no positive mut), same with blue (2 positive mutation) and finally red one (3 positive mutation) all made by our scientist-superstar moved by dispatcher (pilot) where she needs to keep right card from other player.
in the meanwhile dispather (veteran) arm some c4 and sabote military base.

we was so happy of sacrifice moves that we use it also with scientist in a turn where epidemic was very likely.

summary of "Broken combo" found in the game till now:

dispatcher + pilot + rival:
(he fly any pg everywhere passing the right card to his rival)

soldier with right city equipped:
search is simply a joke.. every turn 6 step haed

medic + local connection:
clear to everyone

1st and 2nd positive mutation:
(we finally get the conclusion that are stronger than the 3rd one)
find cure out of turn and out of station means that drawing the card o miss u immidatly find it instead of wait a full round..
it happens and it make huge difference.

sacrifice:
i think it is a broken move..
at the end of september we give hero and determinate to scientist to abuse of her in october.

I believe the rules state that Civilians can't use the self-sacrifice action.

That is correct. Otherwise it would indeed be too powerful.

Just to check: Everyone started at a Research Station that was also a Military Base, and the card the Soldier started with had Equipment on it, yes?

Otherwise, the Soldier wouldn't be able to Military Shuttle, Search, reclaim card, Search and complete the search in a single turn.

And you have to discard 2 cards to pick up a card when your rival discards it, which the dispatcher doesn't even have to do, if they're a pilot. That's like an anti-combo. Dispatcher Pilot and Co-workers would work though; fly your co-worker to the right city and then pass them the card you just used to fly them there. Also you remember you can't fly into cities at panic 2+ under normal rules?

Yep.. we find it :/

It seems to easy.. we end with just 1 outbreak the month

Indeed, sacrifice is powerfull if 3 pick could change a match in that Way (2from civil +1 from scientist)

Reserch in chennay where we start, militar on giakarta: dispatcher (Pilot and veteran) move solider on giakarta and than shattle Him to Johannesburg with 2 of His 4 move (other to send medico in hot zone).
Soldier: equip, search, recatch, search.

Example of our combo:

Dispatcher move scientist everywhere (direct+charter) discardind the card he want rival recatch. Rival discard 2 card (one good for dispatcher one trash) to Keep it. dispatcher discard 2 trash.
Scientist is in the right place for Keep her coworker card or
Dispatcher use His 3rd move to Keep the pg Who have the right card for the scientist to the scientist.

3 moves and 3trash for move 3 card in right place seems to me a Great deal.
