Hi guys,

I am interested in this game, but since i am deaf and play mostly with deaf friends the real-time mode is a no-go for us.

But I read that the turn-based mode is not bad. Is it worth buying alone for that? Generally when looking for team based board games (2v2, 3v3...) and whats`s the best player count for turn-based mode?

Hi!
I thinks 2v2 or 3v3 are both perfect for turn-by-turn play.
Turn-based mode gives you more strategy than real-time one.

I would think that as long as captains can communicate "north, south, east, west" to the opposing radio operator, and the first mate/engineer can communicate with the captain, it should be fine.

We still play turn based more than realtime. We do keep a 30second timer handy though. Every captain can call 30 seconds on the other or it gets way too AP prone!! We don't use it all the time, though maybe next time I will and see how it goes. -m
